A bit late writing this one up but better late than never!
Ben Lomond (Beinn Laomainn, 'Beacon Mountain'), 974 metres (3,196 ft) is Situated on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, it is the most southerly of the Munros. It lies within the Ben Lomond National Memorial Park and the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, property of the National Trust for Scotland.
Its accessible with a relative ease of ascent from Rowardennan, and was resonably busy. We were not desperately lucky with the weather, with thick cloud cover during the upper climbs but when the clouds did part momentarily it was stunning. Kids had a fantastic walk - eating blackberries, admiring caterpillars and even seeing a druid half-way up!
